We all agree: in these times of crisis reducing costs is ever more important. A word of caution in this context is needed, though, as corners should never be cut by risking the quality and strength of a product. While valid in all areas this idea is even more relevant when talking about construction machinery.

Our experience tells us that buyers’ concern in obtaining first quality machinery leads them to rule out completely any machinery that comes out from a Chinese manufacturer. We would certainly be naïve if we chose to ignore the many stories of poor quality steel and low level of expertise existing in many of these manufacturers, but we could also fail to see great opportunities by not making the effort to see beyond the more comfortable zone of generalizations. Let us see both the tree and the forest! The truth is that China is also changing, and rapidly so, in order to be able to compete within the framework of strict regulations and higher quality and safety standards.

Cranes & Construction has personally visited some of these Chinese construction manufacturers in order to get first-hand knowledge about their products and expertise as well as to analyse their ability to offer a more competitive alternative to the most demanding markets who are interested in reconciling economic interests without having to sacrifice security and quality concerns.

 Our visits allow us to conclude that some of these manufacturers truly do not represent an opportunity but a risk to the buyer. We will not waste our time with them; neither do we want to waste yours. The good news is that this was not always the case and that is why we think it is worth your time and money to know about it.

Our experience has enabled us to select a number of manufacturers in whom we put our trust and believe you should put your trust as well.
